Purple Sweater & Print Scarf

DSC_0530DSC_0566 DSC_0540DSC_0571

The fall color palette  inspired this week’s look. I have been all about autumn in this past month; eating apple pie, buying pumpkins, basically anything that screams fall. The brown shoes, purple shirt and orange print scarf create an outfit that can easily transition from day to night. The tiny bit of midriff showing allows a little fun to be added at a time of year when most everyone is covering up as much as possible.

Long Sleeve Dresses

At the first sign of crisp mornings and cool nights, its impossible to keep your mind of fall, more specifically, fall clothes! These are the clothes, which we have all been waiting to wear all summer but it has been either too hot or too humid to do so. One of my absolute favorites for colder weather would be long sleeve dresses. I can still get that happy, fun, beautiful feeling that a dress can bring while not freezing my butt off! The dress above is tight fitting with a slight layered element. Going for a dress with a touch of fun (i.e. a cut out or an interesting pattern) can keep the whimsical aspect of a sundress and rework it for colder weather.

Back to Fall

Although I am no longer going back to school I get that same feeling every fall. It is just something that is engrained in my brain after 18+ years of the same ritual. Especially the ritual of back to school shopping!!! This is a tradition I definitely still keep. You need a little pick me up every now and then and this is a perfect excuse to treat yourself where ever you are in your life. I am currently working a 9-5 and decided to purchase business attire.

Both of these looks allow for a little edge with the details and fun textures. The maroon skirt has foldover that adds a nice surprise to the typical mini skirt. The dark blue has an option to unzip the back for a slit. Both tops have fun patters, which is a great alternative to your classic button up. No matter what you choose, just make sure that its your style.
